FL70 accident on I-65

I'm VERY sleepy at this point so I'm not gonna write a big long update. I just wanted to post some of the pictures I took so that everyone could see what happened. From what I've gathered, Jim was heading out of Bowling Green, KY after the Kroger show and got cut off in the rain by a small car. He cut hard right to avoid hitting them, and they cut right in front of him again so he was forced to cut hard left. The load in the truck shifted and caused Jim to lose control and skid into the soft shoulder where the truck rolled over onto its left side and the load was basically lost through the roof and the back door. It was a muddy, awful mess. Jim was cut up and banged up pretty bad, and got a nasty concussion from the whole ordeal. He's out of the hospital and planning on coming back to work pretty soon.

When I got the call that this all had happened, I jumped in my truck and went Code-3 down to Horse Cave, KY (where the accident happened). I made the 3 hour drive in about 2 hours. I got there just before the second tow truck was picking up the FL70 and the flatbeds were carting off the gear. Amy met us at the service station and we planned on how to get the gear home. The FL70 is pretty much totalled, as is a bunch of the gear, but Chris made it through completely unscathed (except for some raw nerves) and Jim is recovering OK at this point. We were all obviously very worried about him when we heard what happened. I'm so drained at this point, I'm just glad that I was able to talk to Emily a bit while it was all going on because she was able to calm me down and help me stay focused through it all.

Anyway, if you want to see all the pictures I took of the damage to the truck, go here: http://tinyurl.com/4z666t.
