update from louisville

So! Light Up Louisville has been going well so far. Monday was a long, hard day, and Tuesday was hard, but not nearly as long. We were done for the day at dinner on both days, and last night Amy, Abby, Trista and I played Cranium "WOW" which was such a great time! We ordered room service desserts and drinks and pretty much had a blast until like 2:30 in the morning. Today was not a particularly difficult day, but it was driving rain most of the day today, and so we all got pretty soaked, and the rain messed with everyone's mood quite a bit, especially mine. However, dinner changed all that.

Abby, Trista and I went to this place called Caviar Japanese Sushi Bar. Let me tell you that I am completely serious when I say this - It. Was. The. Best. Dinner. Ever. EVER! I had like four different kinds of sushi rolls for dinner, and I am SO completely and deliciously stuffed that I can't even remember feeling all cold a miserable in the rain. It was just SO good. I am one very VERY happy and stuffed boy tonight. I plan on vegging out, watching some tv, and going to bed early.

Tomorrow we have our Thanksgiving dinner, which I am very much looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to seeing Steph on saturday, and Erica on sunday. Hooray! Anyway.... I'm beat. Gnite!

saturday night

I had a great time saturday night with Erica. I met her at her place (didn't have TOO much trouble finding it, and I was on time!) and she drove us over to the chinese place for dinner. I met her friends Claudia and Susan, who despite Erica's warnings turned out to be incredibly fun people. I was worried I was gonna get the third degree or something, but they were awesome. Dinner was good. Then we went back to Erica's place for movies. I forgot Donnie Darko, so we watched The Notebook and then Walk The Line. I had never seen The Notebook and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the "chick flick" that Erica had warned me about. I mean, it was definitely a chick flick, but it was a very good movie, and I liked it. A little predictable, though. I'd already seen Walk the Line but any movie that good is worth re-watching. I had forgotten how long it was, and Erica and I were both falling asleep by about halfway through the movie.

It sucked leaving at the end of the night, but we made plans to see each other again on Sunday after I get back from Light Up Louisville. So I'm already looking forward to that. I just feel really good, and I like Erica a lot, so I'm happy that things seem to be working out with us. I'm also ready for and looking forward to Light Up - especially with the nice weather being predicted for our loadin, it shouldn't be too bad at all.

nothin

There's nothing to update about right now. I just can't sleep. I've been thinking about lots of random stuff all day, mostly because work has just been so insane and today I was actually able to get some of my backed-up paperwork and such taken care of, that by the time I got home I wasn't actually dead to the world, and so I had some time to do a little facebook and AIM browsing and catch up on where everyone is in the world these days. It's strange how quickly one can lose touch with people who were good, or even best, friends.

I miss the afternoons after stagecrew at Allderdice when Joel, Rachel, Lauren and I would camp out in Rachel's living room and watch Whose Line and play Risk. Even though I hated Risk and I was the worst player at it in all of gaming history. I still miss it.

most hilarious video ever

Ok maybe not ever. But still funny. I like it cause it's true.

dunno

Work has been so busy lately. I've been getting more and more tired with each day, and Jim keeps piling more stuff onto me and Trista every time he has a schedule conflict. It wouldn't be so bad if everybody pulled their own weight, but Abby gets preference most of the time because she's Jim's wife, and Mark and Abe are never expected to stay late for anything. So basically, if it's not between 9am and 6pm, it gets dropped in either my lap, or Trista's. I'm just getting tired - not like annoyed, though I am feeling more annoyed with the screw-ups in all the orders, and then getting blamed for SMALL mistakes. I'm actually physically tired. Hopefully after Light Up Louisville, things will get better, since that's when we're supposed to get some new staff on board.

So... yeah. I'm hoping for better news on the personal front some time soon, too. Things have just gotten too mixed up all over the place.
