back in louisville

So... looks like I haven't posted in almost a month. Where DOES the time go? Oh yeah, that's right, working 70 hours a week and going home and passing out. Yeah, that's where it goes.

Anyway, things back home in Cincinnati have been going really well. I'm excited for the upcoming move to the new apartment, and Rachel continues on with her new job at Petsmart and with rehearsals for Crazy Quilt.

Right now I'm back at the Galt House hotel in Louisville. I'm here this weekend loading in a show for Visual Presentations, something called LightYear2007. No idea what it is, but it has a fair amount of gear. The trip getting here was HORRENDOUS. I weighed the Mack truck at the TA in Florence, and found out that we were almost 3,000 pounds overweight for the chassis, and more than 1100 pounds over the truck's weight class. SO I got directions from Jim on taking the backroads around the weigh station on I-71, but I got lost somehow and ended up taking I-75 down to 64-west instead. That SUCKED and added almost 90 minutes on to the trip. Oh well. We made it, and in time for dinner, no less. Had a nice dinner with Ben, Abby, and Trista at Outback. Anyway, it's late, and I should go call Rachel before I fall asleep. I'm gonna try to remember to update more often.

Oh, it didn't help that I was without internet for almost two weeks. Fucking TimeWarner cable bastard morons.
